Standing Committees

Our Governing Board brings members together through committees and working groups to support and advance our mission.

Ageing Smart

Supports members on ageing-related matters by providing information, resources, and expert-led seminars and workshops.

Communications

Fosters effective communication and social interaction among members, oversees the biannual Bulletin, and maintains the AFICS/NY website.

Finance and Fundraising

Develops and implements fundraising and cost-management initiatives to safeguard the long-term financial health of the Association.

Health Insurance

Advocates for members on health and life insurance matters, provides updates, and represents their interests in UN insurance discussions.

Information Technology

Provides technical support, maintains and improves AFICS/NY IT systems, and ensures the website functions smoothly.

Membership

Promotes AFICS/NY membership, engages prospective members, and maintains the Directory of Members.

Pension

Represents members’ interests on pension matters, monitors UN pension bodies, and communicates key updates.

Social & Other Events

Plans and organises social gatherings and events, often featuring guest speakers on current topics of interest.
