AFICS/NY role in pension advocacy
As a founding and active member association of the Association of Former International Civil Servants, (FAFICS), AFICS/NY, continues to play a central role in advocating for the interests of its members in matters relating to UN pensions.
FAFICS represents pensioners and beneficiaries at the annual meetings of the UN Joint Staff Pension Board (UNJSPB).
The Federation maintains close communication with the Chief Executive Officer of the Pension Fund and the Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Investments.
We actively participate in the sessions of the Pension Board, its Standing Committee, the Audit Committee, and all Working Groups established by the Pension Board.
