How to make payments to AFICS/NY
Payment of membership dues, fees for participating in events, donations or any other payments can be made in three ways, unless otherwise stated.
1. Cheque
Make your cheque payment to "AFICS/NY Treasurer" clearly state the purpose in the memo field of the cheque.
2. Cash
Bring cash to the AFICS/NY office.
3. UNFCU member-to-member transfer - preferred method.
For those who bank with the UNFCU, this is the most efficient way to make payments to AFICS/NY. You will need to set up AFICS/NY as a linked member in your UNFCU account. The steps are as follows.
3a. To set up a one-time link:
Log in to UNFCU and go to "Transfer & Payments"
Select "Transfer to Members"
Click "Manage Linked Accounts" → "Add New Account"
Enter the following details:
Last Name/Organization Name: UN ASSOC OF FORMER ICS
(Note you must include the spaces)
Member Number: 1171620
Account Code: 20009202415
Account Nickname: AFICS NY (or another nickname of your choice)
3b. For ongoing transfers:
Go to "Transfer & Payments" → "Transfer to Members"
Select "AFICS NY" (or the nickname you chose as applicable"
Click "Start Transfer"
Enter:
Amount, transfer date, and source account
In the Purpose/Comment/Note field, choose "Other" and enter:
Your first initial, last name and the purpose of payment.*
Notes:
* Without this information, we will not be able to identify the payee and process it properly.
* The field " Purpose/Comment Note" has a 35-character limit and is unable to accept certain special characters, so be sure to include only essential information.
For payment of membership dues, enter in this field:
Your first initial, your last name, Membership dues
For payment for an event or a specific purpose:
Either follow the specific member-to-member transfer instructions for that event, or if there are no specific instructions enter in this field:
Your first initial, your last name, two or three words explaining the purpose of your payment.
