We would like to make you aware of the UN Staff 1% for Development Fund, to which you can contribute the cost of just three cappuccinos a month to help people in the developing world build better lives. Since 1984 its New York Branch aims for staff to contribute up to 1% of their salary towards development, to encourage Member States to contribute at least 0.7% of their GDP for that purpose.

We issue microgrants of up to $ 5,000 per community project in the fields of education, agriculture (beekeeping, or goats, mushrooms), wells, skills training, and sanitary pad production, environment etc.
