Dear Family, Friends, and Former Colleagues of our Father,

We would like to invite you to a memorial event that the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are organizing to commemorate the life and career of our dear father in recognition of his over three decades of distinguished service and enduring contributions to the United Nations family.

The event will take place on 4 March (Wednesday) from 10:00am-12:00pm in the ECOSOC Chamber at United Nations Headquarters (second floor) in New York.

If you are able to attend, please RSVP by sending an email by 10am Friday, 27 February to Aleena (majeedaleena16@gmail.comOpens a new window). If you do not RSVP, you may not be able to enter UN Headquarters.

Please arrive by 9:30am at the Visitors Entrance to UN Headquarters located at 46th Street and 1st Avenue to allow sufficient time to go through the security checkpoint  and walk to the ECOSOC Chamber.  Please bring a government- or UN-issued ID with you.  Personnel from the Pakistan Permanent Mission will be present at the 46th Street Visitors Entrance to greet you and help with entry.  If you have any trouble entering, please call Aleena at (332) 228-9272 or Mansha at (929) 255-8249.
